The People's Committee of Da Nang has issued a plan to resume tourism activities in the new normal, with the message that “Da Nang is ready to open and welcome tourists”, following the Government’s Resolution No.32 on visa exemption for citizens from 13 countries to Vietnam, which began on March 15.
From March 15, Da Nang has reopened tourism activities under the new normal conditions for tourists entering Vietnam via air, road, rail, and sea in accordance with the regulations on the prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Director of the Da Nang Department of Tourism Truong Thi Hong Hanh said that local tourism will focus on preparing human resources, new products and market promotion, as well as ensuring safety for visitors against the pandemic.
In addition, tourism stimulus programmes aligned with support for tourism enterprises’ recovery, will be conducted in the context of flexible adaptation to the pandemic.
Meanwhile, enterprises should enhance the application of information technology and digital transformation in tourism services, to respond to the new situation.
